Two decades of experience has gifted Jen with the ability to not only design from the heart, but speak to each client with the passion that designing their home deserves. After completing almost 300 homes in her career, its safe to say she has seen a lot. Jen was blessed to work for some of the best firms in Minneapolis at pivotal times of growth and progress. It taught her all the facets of a unique industry, but what struck her was the need for the design process to be fun and transparent. There are so many important decisions that need to be made with thoughtfulness and careful planning; but with the average home being a 10-14 month build, a bit of fun needs to be woven into all of the seriousness along the journey. She truly values the partnership built with each client, so that the process is collaborative and the best asset is listening, allowing the relationship to reflect the trust established with each other. Jen believes the homes that LHD create should reflect you, as the client, the family you have and the life you live. It should be unique to you, rooted in the style you desire and incorporating interesting details you didn't know you might love that we surprise you with.
Oh... and the girls always say "We always design with the dogs." Once you look at some of the portfolio images, you will see why. Our furry best friends deserve some thought when designing too (we don't discriminate - we will equally love on cats, goats, horses, reptiles... whatever you have!)
I am... a Dog Whisperer. I have 3 bully breed mutts that hold my heart. I always carry treats and a leash in my car just in case I find a dog in need.
I have... a Cookie addiction. Really, I call myself a Cookie Connoisseur. I want my Grandma name to be Cookie. I love all kinds of cookies - Monster, Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter... just no raisins or fancy nuts belong in my cookies.
I love... Music - especially seeing live music with my husband. Art - Creating it myself and hitting museums and art festivals throughout the year. My daughter Sylvia is my heart and being a Mom is my greatest accomplishment. Dogs... Horses.... Elephants.... I can't choose just one favorite animal.

To say that good design makes life better is an under statement as I have seen this happen time and time again; one reason I love it!
I believe to be a good designer it all starts with being a great listener. It is critical to truly get a real sense of what the client wants and needs in their space-and here is where we start. At Lenox House Design, it is paramount that our clients absolutely love their space-it needs to lift their quality of life and bring them a sense of great joy!
The partnerships we strive to build with all our clients help pave the way to a successful design project. Their space then feels better, looks better, works better for them and their family…what could be better!
Interesting facts about me:
My heart actually flutters when I see a horse - there is something about them that always moves me -c oud I have been a cowgirl in a former life?
Anytime I have a bad dream, I am always lost in it... ugh, my sense of direction is horrible!
I can get totally lost in a good book... lose all track of time!
Something I would love to do in the future:
I would love to own a simple piece of property abroad - France, Italy, somewhere in the UK... oh to dream!
What is your favorite music or band and why?
That is a tough one as my taste is all over the place. It's easier to say what I do not like and that is Bluegrass or Country Western. Not my jam!
